Steam Summer Sale Round-up for July 5
News by Jesse Dolman on Jul 05, 2011
So you still haven't got enough games? Well, you're in luck, as today's Steam deals include some very interesting titles.
First off, all my beloved S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games are 75% off. This means you'll only have to cough up €2,50 for Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky, and 3,50 for Call of Pripyat. I recommend you at least try Shadow of Chernobyl (if your PC is up for it), as I recently named it my favourite first person shooter in my personal blog.

More shooter action is at your disposal with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which is priced at €12,50. Unless if you insist on only playing multiplayer, though, the fact that you can get the entire S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise for less makes this deal a lot less spectacular. Not to mention that Monday Night Combat, a pretty fresh-looking multiplayer shooter, is only €2,87 at the moment.
If you haven't got a great PC or are just more into retro gaming, all games in the Deus Ex and The Secret of Monkey Island series can currently be picked up for €2,50-5,00 each.

More recent priced-down games include Civilization V (€25) and the Need For Speed games (down 40%). Keep in mind, though, that it is probably more benificial to get the 2K complete pack for €80, which includes not only Civilization V AND IV (plus DLC), but also BioShock 1 & 2, Duke Nukem Forever, Borderlands GOTY, and tons more crazy stuff. Regarding Need For Speed, Hot Pursuit for €12 definitely is a must for fans of arcade racing.
Remaining deals for July 5:
Wings of Prey - €3,75 (-85%)
AI War Fleet Command - €2,09 (-85%)
Beat Hazard - €1,74 (-75%)
Guild Wars Trilogy - 50% down on all games
King Arthur - €3 (-85%)
