Target Criterion

In comments made earlier this month to GamerZines, Craig Sullivan (producer at Criterion Games) said he wanted to create another Burnout if he had the opportunity to do so. The same goes with Need for Speed franchise. It is important to emphasize that Criterion is responsible for the development of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, the new sensation of Electronic Arts. When asked about "a change of scene," Sullivan reported the following:

"It's like asking someone to choose one of two sons. These games are a year and a half of my life, Burnout Paradise is actually two years, and each game is always a reflection of who you are then. "

If I prefer Burnout to Need for Speed? No. I like the two franchises because they are the best I could do to make a fun game. You always put your heart into it.

"If I want to create another Burnout? Yes, if I would create another Need for Speed? Yes, if I want to create something completely different from these two franchises? Yes I like making games, is the coolest job in the world. "

Eight years with the Burnout franchise, then a move to the new Hot Pursuit. What will be the next step for Criterion?
