Hell yes, on the brink if its Japanese release on April 24, publisher Square Enix has confirmed that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call will also release in the West. There’s no concrete date so far, but the Nintendo 3DS exclusive will make its way to both Europe and North America.
In the sequel of the 2012 3DS release, players can journey through the franchise of Final Fantasy with cutesy renditions of their favorite characters. Moreover, they’ll frolic across known locations in the series, hopping to some of its iconic tunes. There will be over 200 composition and 60 playable characters, some being available from titles as recent as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, which should really think about a more concise name, will have some neat game modes, such as Versus Battle against other users. In Quest Medley, tracks are used to service unique quests, which players can share with others. With the Collecta Crystarium, CollectaCards can be gathered to raise character statistics.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy fuses rhythm game elements together with a party combat system from the traditional iterations. It works in an entrancing way. Hopefully, Curtain Call can build on that model.
