THQ Statement 'n Survive The Last Limited Edition

The Last Story is a mere month away from finally getting to Europe on February 24, 2012. Nintendo has announced that people who pre-order the Wii exclusive RPG will get a limited edition bonus edition. This will contain things like a soundtrack composed by Nobuo Uematsu and an illustration book. Nintendo Benelux has thrown around a teaser trailer to promote The Last Story.

In more news, an Indian development studio called Version2Games Limited will be releasing Smash ‘N’ Survive exclusively on PlayStation Network on 9th February 2012. The vehicular combat title is the first release from the developers and promises to include a campaign and fully customizable cars, with post-release support of online play with up to 6 players. Such customization will include a flame thrower, sonic boom, blades, magneto pulsar and duel saw.  Here’s some more info from the press release: “Featuring 30 brutal concept cars, including muscle, agile, monster, buggy and SUV vehicles, racers compete across 10 fully destructible maps, in eight action packed gameplay competitions, including vehicle mêlée combat, demolition derby, group derby, plant the bomb, protect the convoy, chase, finding and escorting your team mate and checkpoint challenge.” A price has not yet been announced, but a trailer has been released.

Lastly, THQ released a new trailer to show off the career mode in UFC Undisputed 3. The publisher has also recently given a statement to clarify its plans for upcoming releases, in which it states to step aside from “commitment to the kids' boxed games sector” and focus on “high-quality core games.” They have further stated: “THQ has not cancelled its 2014 line-up, and has not made any decisions regarding the planned [Warhammer 40K: Dark Millennium Online]. As part of the ongoing review of our business, we have made decisions to ensure that the company is strategically addressing the most attractive markets.”
