Today Electronic Arts announced the official release date for the upcoming game Titanfall, from developer Respawn Entertainment. Designed by one of the co-creators of the Call of Duty franchise, Titanfall has already won over eighty awards, receiving praise from fans and critics alike.

Titanfall is set in the near future on a faraway land where a conflict is occurring between the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and the Militia. The first-person action gameplay features elite assault pilots and massive, heavily-armored, 24-foot titans. The action features wall running, extreme double jumps and the capability to seize control of the titans, with the ability to switch between pilot and titan.

The standard edition of the game is priced at $59.99, with the collector's edition costing $249.99. Titanfall: Collector's Edition features a collectable 18" Atlas titan statue, a full-size poster of the titan and an art book featuring over 190 pages of concept art. Titanfall will be available in North America on March 11 and in Europe on March 13, 2014 for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
