Wii Production Ending Soon
Nintendo says, "Manufacturing is scheduled to end soon."
News by XboxBetty on Oct 02, 2013
In November of 2006 the gaming world as we knew it changed forever. The Nintendo Wii was released, with the Wii Remote opening up doors to a new gaming experience.
The console brought gaming to a larger demographic, offering kid friendly and adult games alike. Releasing several models and outselling some of today's best consoles, the Wii has sold over 100 million units.
Seven years later it seems the Wii will no longer be. Nintendo.co.jp has posted a notice saying, "近日生産終了予定." Kotaku has translated the announcement to English reading, "Manufacturing is scheduled to end soon."
It is unknown exactly when manufacturing will end, and if the Wii Mini is included in this announcement.
