Yakuza 3 Going West

It’s no secret that gamers have been crying out for Yakuza 3 to be localized and brought to American and European shores for some time, and it seems Sega has finally listened.

Apparently work has already started on a PlayStation 3 version, but some skeptics still remain pessimistic after it was previously announced that Yakuza 2 was coming to North America back in 2007 at the Tokyo Game Show.

It could even be released as early as next year and is expected to be a PlayStation 3 exclusive, depending on demand, cost and the difficulty of the whole process.

Sega will also look to keep the ball rolling, as rumours are afloat that they’re set to announce the development of Yakuza 4, which could be released later next year. This is also set to become a PlayStation 3 exclusive and is unlikely to be converted.
