ARC Raiders Guide | How to Win as a Solo Player

Stealth, sound, and extraction tactics to survive and profit alone.

Game Guide by Faviyan Mustafiz on  Nov 02, 2025

Going solo in ARC Raiders can feel punishing at first. Success comes from smart preparation, quiet movement, and patient extractions. This guide shows how to build early momentum with free gear, how to stay unseen, and how to leave with more loot than you lose. The focus is on simple habits that raise your survival rate fast.

Look Like Shadow, Not Spotlight

Blend in from the start. Wear dark clothing and choose a dark hair color. Pick the free outfit, then select green; it appears darker in-game, especially on night maps. This makes you harder to spot at a distance and under poor lighting.

Loadout Path That Protects Your Loot

Begin with the Free Loadout. Enter a run. If you fail, nothing important is lost. Queue again with the Free Loadout. If you extract, stash your loot, then visit the Clinic. Upgrade the basic backpack into a Green Tier Backpack.

This increases slots and adds a Secure Slot that protects at least one item or stack even on a failed extract. Build resource abundance over time. Do not panic if you burn Bandages or Shield Charges early.

Unlock Field Crafting quickly. Craft Shield Charges when needed; Bandages are often found in the field. Craft in small batches so supplies stockpile between runs. Rinse and repeat until essentials feel plentiful.

Choose Night Missions First

Pick Night Missions whenever available on your unlocked map. Darkness is free camouflage. Do not use the flashlight unless required; it turns you into a beacon for anyone hunting. Night runs reduce visual detection and help you move without drawing attention.

Master Sound and Stealth

Sound wins fights before they start. Use ears constantly. Running is loud. Walking is quieter. Crouching is nearly silent. Rummaging is audible one room away. Breaching makes extreme noise and travels far.

Avoid breaching when solo. If breaching is mandatory, breach, then leave the area immediately. Sprint, slide, and crouch to break audio tracking and lose anyone who heard you. Manage your own noise at all times.

Fighting and Avoiding ARC Indoors

Expect ARC patrols to hear as well as see. If combat with ARC happens inside buildings, clear the threats, then relocate. Go up or down a floor, or move to the opposite side of the structure.

PvP-minded enemies often push toward the last loud sound. Do not stick around to loot the noisy room. There is always more loot elsewhere.

Slow Down and Scout

Most raids allow plenty of time. Do not rush. Sprinting everywhere only advertises your path. If you lack a scoped weapon, carry Binoculars. Use them to check lanes and rooftops before moving.

Listen for footsteps, breaches, and gunfire to map where others are. This prevents avoidable PvP. Many raids can be completed with zero PvP if you stay aware and plan routes around noise.

Smarter Extractions

Never charge the Elevator without scouting. From a safe spot, watch the extraction zone with Binoculars if you hear distant gunfire. Let loud squads fight, then wait for calm. Inch closer. Stop often and scan for motion; the human eye catches movement fast.

When ready, position on the button side. Fill stamina. Put weapons away (press H on keyboard) to sprint faster. Sprint to the button, press it, then move to a nearby safe pocket. Slide in and re-crouch. Reposition once because someone may have seen the slide.

When the Elevator arrives, resist the urge to rush. You have nearly two minutes before it departs. Often another survivor will beeline for the button. Let them commit. Then slide into the Elevator and stay out of their sightline. After the button is pressed, extraction still carries you out even if you are downed at the last second.

Extra Solo Survival Tips

Noise Makers are powerful. Toss one away from your position to pull ARC toward enemies or to clear a route without firing. The sound is uncommon, which adds confusion, and the throw direction makes your true location hard to read.

Invest in the Survival Tree, not only for Field Crafting. The Quicker Looting perk speeds up container time. The Crouch Movement perk makes you faster while crouched. Each point adds noticeable speed, which matters when you live crouched. Building these perks complements quiet play and reduces exposure during risky moments.
