One of the best methods of leveling up in Borderlands 4 unlocks after you complete the main story. By then, you'll most likely be hovering above or around level 30. During which the Ultimate Vault Hunter becomes available, which is required to access Vile Bounties.

To activate Ultimate Vault Hunter, you'll need to head to Carcadia Burns and complete the Wild Card mission from an NPC, and you'll notice that contracts marked in purple will start popping up.
These are the very Vile Bounties that we are after, and they offer staggering legendary XP, and at times great loot, making them one of the fastest ways of leveling up.

You'll want to activate the safe house in Carcadia Burns so that you can access the bounty board nearby; from there, just pick up a Vile Bounty, follow the marker, and defeat the target.
A lot of these fights will require you to destroy crystals before taking the enemy out, and a single completed bounty can get you up to 14,000 XP. You'll want to keep an eye out for collection and patrol missions as they take much longer to get done and offer less XP.
Once you've completed a bounty, return to the safe house. Contracts take a while to refresh, so you'll want to perform a save-and-quit and relaunch the save.
Doing so resets the board and fills it up with newer missions, but do keep in mind that not every refresh will grant you a vile Bounty, but purple XP contracts are still worth considering.
When you're in co-op, the fastest method is a bit different; your best bet is farming drill sites, as each site spawns waves of enemies and they end in a boss fight, which you'll be able to reset using an Encore Machine. XP gets shared across the group, which makes it convenient for you to grind up to level 50 in just a few hours.
