Cracking the Sanctum of Temperance puzzle in Crimson Desert relies on finding two puzzle pieces. Once you've got them, the real challenge begins: fitting them into a massive machine.

Sanctum of Temperance is situated southeast of Howling Hill. Before you start working on the puzzle, it's a good idea to deal with any nearby enemies.

Locating the First Cube

To find the initial piece, proceed to the northern section of the area. There, you'll encounter some fractured terrain that you can traverse to break it apart. Once the ground is clear, use your Axiom Hand to aim downward and grab the cube hidden below.

Use the Axiom Pull to dislodge the block from its position. Next, move the cube to the central machine, keeping it afloat as you go.

Do not place it on the platform; instead, look for an opening on the side of the machine. When you see green leaves appear, leave the cube there and use a Force Palm strike to punch it firmly into place.

Clearing the Thorns

The second piece is locked inside a small room filled with thick thorns. You need to burn these away to get inside. To get a fire going, press and hold the lantern button at the same time as your light attack button. This activates focus light mode.

Direct the beam of light toward the thorns and keep it trained on them until they ignite and disappear in flames. Once the path is clear, use your Axiom Hand to pull out the floating object from inside the room.

Fixing the Missing Pillar

Take the second object toward the pillar that is missing its top section. Hover the piece over the pillar and lower it until it settles into a tilted position. To lock it in, you must hit it from above.

Climb to the top of the nearby structure so you are standing over the pillar. Jump into the air and use a Force Palm strike while falling to slam the piece down. Once the part connects, the machine will start spinning, and the sanctum puzzle will be complete.
