Here's a guide on the best Sniper Build in Cyberpunk 2077.
Game Guide by TauxicPandA on Aug 14, 2025
This long-range Sniper build helps you to eliminate targets with calculated shots while maintaining the flexibility to handle various combat scenarios in Cyberpunk 2077.

Core Attribute Investment
You'll want to focus your attribute points primarily on Tech Ability and Cool to maximize your Sniper potential in Cyberpunk 2077.
These two attributes work together to create a lethal combination of technological weapon mastery and precision shooting skills.
Tech Ability Tree
You have to get the Bolt ability on the Tech tree. This skill makes you much better at using Tech weapons by speeding up the charging time and increasing the damage they do overall.
When you completely charge your bullets, you'll see a significant increase in damage and the ability to go through cover more easily. This makes enemy defenses much less effective against your strikes in Cyberpunk 2077.

Cool Tree
Use the Focus ability from the Cool Tree. This talent enhances your headshot and weak point damage when using Sniper rifles. It turns precise shots into deadly attacks that can kill foes in one hit.
Primary Weapons
Your main arsenal will consist of three Sniper rifles in Cyberpunk 2077.
The Overwatch Sniper rifle becomes available through Panam during the main story progression.
You'll also receive the Widowmaker, a tech precision rifle from Panam, which serves well for mid-range engagements when full Sniper range isn't practical.

You can get the Tsunami Nekomata from the Phantom Liberty main story when you infiltrate the Black Sapphire.
Each of these weapons brings unique advantages to different combat situations in Cyberpunk 2077.
Backup Weapons
A Sniper build is excellent for long-range combat, but you also need to be ready for close-quarters situations that can come up throughout some missions.
If you want to handle these close-quarters fights well, consider getting secondary weapons like Shotguns or SMGs in Cyberpunk 2077.
