Cyberpunk 2077 Guide | Best Handgun Build
Here's a guide on the best Handgun build in Cyberpunk 2077
Game Guide by TauxicPandA on Aug 11, 2025
With this build, you'll become a shooter who can take over Night City with style and accuracy.
The Handgun build places a strong emphasis on strategic stat allocation and notable weapon acquisitions to maximize your pistol's effectiveness in Cyberpunk 2077.

Primary Stat Focus
For this build, Cool is the most important stat. Spending a lot of points on Cool will boost the damage your Handgun does and give you access to key abilities that shape how you play.
This stat has a direct effect on how you use your weapons and lets you get the main benefits you need.
Essential Abilities
Dead Eye is your paramount ability to deal more damage. This perk makes weak point damage much stronger when using weapons and cuts down on bullet spread, which lets you shoot more accurately in Cyberpunk 2077.
Your Pistols are now more effective at a broader range, thanks to the reduced spread.

Focus helps you specialize in handguns by increasing damage from headshots and weak spots for Pistols and Sniper weapons.
This build doesn't stress using a sniper, but the bonuses for handguns make this valuable skill for your primary weapons.
Choosing Weapons
Johny's unique Malorian Arms handgun is your primary weapon. During the Chippin' In quest, you can get this weapon in Cyberpunk 2077.
You and Rogue will attack the Ebunike while looking for Adam Smasher during this task. As the quest comes to an end, Grayson will give you the chance to buy this weapon.

Comrade's Hammer is a craftable item that complements the idea behind this build.
Archangel is another good option, and you can get it from Kerry after the Samurai reunion in Cyberpunk 2077.
Build Flexibility
This build focuses on handguns and gives you a lot of freedom in how you use your leftover attribute points.
You can change your character in whatever way you want because pistol builds don't need a lot of work on a lot of attributes.

Intelligence Integration
As a backup goal, consider investing in Intelligence.
This trait complements innovative gun technology, allowing for quick hacking and adding tactical depth to your gunslinger style without diminishing the effectiveness of your primary Handgun in Cyberpunk 2077.
