If you’re searching for Ascendant Chests in the Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC, you’ll have to complete the Treasure Hunt triumph at some point.

To complete this quest you must drink a special consumable called the Tincture of Queensfoil to locate and open special hidden containers called Ascendant Chests. To get started, you must head over to the Dreaming City and locate Petra.

Understanding the Weekly Curse Rotation

Petra changes her position every week, rotating between three different regions. Her current location tells you exactly how strong the local curse is and which set of hidden chests will spawn on the map. If she sets up camp in The Strand, it is a weak curse week.

When she moves to the Divalian Mists, the curse is growing. This week, she is stationed in Rheasilvia, which means the curse is at its strongest. This guide covers three specific chest locations that only appear during this maximum curse phase in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.

Buying the Tincture and Finding the First Chest

Walk up to Petra at her current post. You need to purchase a few bottles of Tincture of Queensfoil from her shop menu before leaving the area because you cannot interact with the hidden objectives without this item.

Once you buy them, open your map and fast travel back to the main landing pad at the Divalian Mists. Open your character inventory screen and consume one bottle to grant yourself the ascendant buff for 30 minutes.

Turn around immediately from the landing spot and head toward the nearby cliff walls. Climb up the rock formations until invisible platforms begin to materialize in front of you.

Follow this floating pathway carefully. The path acts like a maze because the platforms only appear when you get very close to them in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.

Hug the right side of the canyon wall, backtrack slightly if a path stops forming, and follow the loop as it curves back around to the left. Leap onto the final solid ledge to find your first Ascendant Chest.

Locating the Second Chest in The Strand

Jump down from the high ledge, summon your Sparrow, and follow the cavern path straight into The Strand.

Keep driving until you reach the lower area right near the foggy cliffside. You need to climb up the rocky tiers to reach the upper stone platform overlooking the valley in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.

Once you stand on the top platform, look toward the large tree on the far right side. The magic platforms should start appearing in the air.

If you do not see them, your buff might have run out, so check your screen and drink another bottle if necessary. Jump across these floating stones to reach the second chest.

Reaching the Final Chest

Do not fast travel after grabbing the second reward. Drop back down to the ground and ride your vehicle deeper along the edge of the cliffside path.

Follow the trail straight ahead into the rear sections of the canyon to locate the third and final Ascendant Chest, which will complete your triumph the moment you open it in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.
