To enter the races in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC, you need to open your Director map and navigate to the Crucible Ops playlist. Inside this menu, look for the option labeled Sparrow Racing League to join the matchmaking queue.
You are allowed to ride either a traditional Sparrow or a hoverboard, and you will match into the same lobbies regardless of your choice.
While both vehicles perform similarly, the hoverboard often feels a bit more fluid to handle. Keep an eye on the left side of your screen while loading in, as the game displays a preview image of the specific racetrack right before the match starts.

Perfecting Your Start and Boosts
Timing your initial launch gives you an immediate advantage. At the zero, the countdown timer will say go. Tap your sprint button at the exact moment the countdown timer says go to get a starting speed boost.
As soon as you start moving, focus on driving straight through the glowing Speed Barricades spread across the track. Hitting these gates gives you a short velocity spike and is key if you want to get ahead of the pack.
Performing Tricks for Speed
Airtime is a massive resource during a race. Whenever you launch off a ramp or catch air, press a direction on your D-Pad to perform a stunt in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.
If you land the trick successfully without crashing, your vehicle receives an extra speed boost upon touching the ground.

You should constantly search for ramps and steep drops to chain these stunts together. Combining the trick boosts with the Speed Barricades is the fastest way to build and maintain your momentum.
Managing Your Dodges and Obstacles
You have a dedicated movement gauge located in the bottom left corner of your screen, which looks like a gray block with three small lines underneath it. This meter tracks your available dodges.
Dodging is very useful for taking sharp corners smoothly or realigning yourself if you take a corner too wide. More importantly, you need to save your energy to dodge around deadly obstacles and explosives placed on the tracks in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.
Crashing into walls or environmental hazards can result in instant death, which kills your momentum and sets you back several positions.

Finishing the Race
When you have crossed the finish line and run all of the laps, the activity is over. Finishing a race drops random end-of-match rewards directly into your inventory, giving you a steady chance to earn new weapons and armor pieces in Destiny 2: Monument of Triumph DLC.
