Building on the Border

When choosing a location or area to build in, the most important thing to remember is to build near the border to access the most valuable resources in Dune: Awakening.

That means you want to get higher up on the map or somewhere at the edge because building in the center will create many problems if you start to farm resources.

Building on the Border in Dune: Awakening is essential because when you leave the edge of the Hagga Basin, you can simply use the External Pieces of the Hagga Basin to enter wherever you want, essentially making this a form of free, fast travel.

The greatest thing about this is that it does not consume fuel or wear on your Ornithopter. This is a swift way to enter the areas you're looking for as quickly as possible.

This process lets you to transition from the top right-hand corner to the left in virtually no time, and it costs you no fuel or stamina. If you want to head back out, you will do the same thing repeatedly.

Building near Settlements

Another location where you can build your base is near the settlements in Dune: Awakening. They've got vendors, and you also receive all your missions there.

Also, it's another fast-travel point that allows you to travel back down to Anvil or Griffin's Reach quickly and efficiently for the reasonable price of 750 Solari.

Building near Imperial Testing Stations

You can also build your Bases near Imperial Testing Stations to access resources and Schematics easily. The Imperial Stations reset, and you can farm Schematics whenever you want.

Build near Biome Borders

The second thing you must remember in Dune: Awakening is to have as many borders as possible close to your base.

This is because if you look at the resource density tab on your top left, it changes when you're moving in different zones. The higher the bar, the more resources you will likely get.

Also, try to build your Base near areas with water access. When you progress throughout the game, you will need a lot of water to get the best materials for your Gear.
