Silicon Blocks are a crucial resource in Dune Awakening, necessary for crafting many utilities essential for game progression.

There are a couple of steps that you need to follow before crafting Silicon Blocks.

Accessing The Static Compactor

You'll need the Static Compactor prior to farming Flour Sand efficiently. This is an essential device that you unlock after completing a Trial.

You must finish the Second Trial of AQL in Dune: Awakening as part of your Quest progression. After completing this Trial, the blueprint for the Static Compactor will be unlocked, allowing you to build this essential farming device.

Static Compactor is a perfect tool when it comes to efficient Flour Sand farming. You technically can harvest small amounts by shooting at the ground.

Prioritize unlocking and crafting the Static Compactor before farming Flour Sand.

Safe Flour Sand Farming Strategy

You can also collect Flour Sand without the Static Compactor using your hands, but it's often not recommended because it's extremely inefficient.

Farming with a Static Compactor is very efficient; however, it is hazardous because of the Sandworms induced by the noise made by the Static Compactor in Dune: Awakening.

The Static Compactor generates noises that naturally attract the Sandworm to your position.

You'll lose all your gears if you die to the Sandworm. So, it's recommended that you have the Bene Gesserit Class unlocked. Use the Bene Gesserit's Bindu Sprint ability to evade wherever the Sandworm tries to attack you.

The secret to profitable Flour Sand farming is the positioning of deposits that appear along the edge of open sandy fields.

Vermillius Gap is the ideal farming spot. Rather than driving deep into the center of hazardous fields of sand, concentrate along the edge where sand and rocks are partially mixed.

Drive along the edges of patches of sand until you discover Flour Sand deposits along rocky spots. The deposits spawn randomly everywhere around the world, so you need to be patient to find a good and safe place in Dune: Awakening.

Search especially for deposits that occur at the edge where open sand meets solid ground. When you find a good deposit, get as near the safety area as you can while remaining open to the Flour Sand field.

After aiming your Static Compactor and shooting charges into the ground, you'll see that the Flour Sands are getting exposed. Your device will expose multiple piles of Flour Sand throughout the deposit area.

Proceed to strafe between the piles and gather them while keeping the interaction button pressed.

The task produces thousands of Flour Sand units within a short time and places you at a safe distance from Sandworms.

Even if the Sandworm tries to catch you, you can use the Bindu Spring to outrun the Sandworm.

Keep an eye on your storage capacity while harvesting, as Flour Sand will quickly occupy your storage space.

If you have bought a bike to store the Flour Sand, park it in a safe spot, and never on the open sand.

Using Your Flour Sand

With a plentiful stock of Flour Sand in your storage, you can now produce Silicon Blocks in Dune: Awakening.

Keep in mind that Silicon Block production also requires water, so have sufficient supplies of Water before starting the crafting procedure.

This Flour, Sand, and Water is the basis for most of the high-level crafting recipes in Dune Awakening.
