Everwind Guide | How to Unlock the Crafting Hang Gliders

In Everwind, you can unlock a useful tool called the Glider. It helps you move across areas and makes travel easier. Before you can craft it, you need to find a special item and follow a few steps. This guide explains how to get the required key, where to use it, and how to craft the Glider.

Getting the Steamer Vault Key

To unlock the Glider, you first need a Steamer Vault Key. There are a few ways to find this item.

You can sometimes find it inside steamer structures or mine shafts on rotten islands. But there is an easier way that saves time. You look for a place called a Lab. These are easy to spot once you know what to look for.

How to Identify a Lab

You recognize a Lab by a few clear signs. First, you will see paper sheets on the walls. Second, you will notice broken purple machines and old steam engine parts, such as boilers and power devices.

Another sign is the enemies inside. You will not find normal steamers here. Instead, you will see Mortivars with steamer parts attached. They wear armor and use weapons made from scrap.

Some labs also show a number like 1 near the entrance. This helps you confirm that it is a lab. There may also be other versions like 2, but they all follow the same pattern.

Finding the Key Inside the Lab

Inside the Lab, you look for a chest. This chest usually contains the Steamer Vault Key along with other items like scrap, springs, and gears.

In some cases, the lab may be damaged and the chest might not be there. If that happens, you move on and find another lab. You also collect all the scrap and parts around the lab, as you will need them later.

Moving Quickly Between Labs

Instead of going through the entire inside of each lab, you can enter from the outside. This lets you check quickly if the chest is there.

If you do not find what you need, you leave and go to the next lab. This saves time and helps you get the key faster.

Using the Steamer Vault Key

Once you have the Steamer Vault Key, you look for a Vault. These vaults are guarded by enemies like Mortivars, so you prepare before entering.

You clear the area around the vault to avoid getting attacked while looting. Then you use the key to open it. Inside, you will find multiple containers with different items. The main thing you are looking for is the Glider Recipe.

Getting the Glider Recipe

Inside the Vault, you search through the containers until you find the Glider Recipe. Once you have it, you unlock the ability to craft the Glider.

You can also collect other items in the vault, but the recipe is your main goal.

Gathering Extra Materials on Rotten Islands

While exploring rotten islands, you will find useful items on the ground. These include parts used to craft steamer equipment.

You should pick these up whenever you see them. They are used later when crafting different items.

You may also find a Blaze Crystal. This item can be turned into powder, which helps increase your ship’s speed at higher levels.

Using the Fabricator

To craft the Glider, you need a Fabricator. This is a special crafting station found on rotten islands.

You cannot move the Fabricator, so you must use it where you find it. These stations are placed on steamer structures.

At the Fabricator, you can craft parts like the Steering Gear, Rotor, and Balloon. These are also useful for your airship.

The materials needed for crafting can be found on the same islands, making it easier to gather everything in one place.

Crafting the Glider

Once you have the Glider Recipe, you go to a Fabricator. You use the materials you collected to craft the Glider.

After crafting it, you can use it to move more freely and improve your exploration.

You repeat this process if needed, gathering materials and using the Fabricator whenever you find one on a rotten island.
