You can only view this specific conclusion during a New Game+ run. To prepare, you must collect Sae’s Spirit Stone and Mayu’s Spirit Stone. These items become available after you reach The Promise and The Abyss endings and complete the extra stories attached to them.

Make sure you equip both stones before your character steps onto the Ritual Altar. You will know the game switched to this route if Mayu stays quiet and composed on the altar instead of weeping.

Beating the Final Bosses

Once you reach the altar, a fight starts with the Kusabi. He attacks in two separate stages using the difficult patterns from The Abyss route.

When the Kusabi falls, head down into The Abyss to face Sae. This battle works just like her other fights, so use the tactics you already know in FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE.

The Rescue at the Abyss

After you win against Sae, you will spot Mayu at the very edge of the pit. Sprint toward her immediately and hit R2 or RT to take hold of her hand. This starts the last scene where the pair tumbles into the darkness.

While they fall, the ghosts of Sae and Yae appear to grab them and fly them back to the Ritual Altar. To finish the story, a swarm of Crimson Butterflies comes out of the hole to wipe away the rest of the spirits in FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE.
