John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando Guide | How to Get the Ammo Saver Trophy
A simple way to farm Ammo Saver by using Nuker blasts to wipe out groups fast.

The Ammo Saver trophy in John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando asks you to kill 300 enemies with Nuker explosions. That is the official trophy requirement, and the method is much easier than it sounds once you know what to look for.
This trophy is also cumulative, so you do not need to finish all 300 kills in one run. You can build progress across different missions, which makes it a steady trophy to work on while playing normally.
How to Spot the Right Enemy
The enemy you need to use is the zombie type with a glowing ball of fire on its back. This weak point can appear red or orange, and it stands out clearly once you know the look. These enemies rush toward you and explode, so they are dangerous up close, but they are also the key to this trophy.

Best Way to Get Kills with Nuker Explosions
The goal is not just to kill the Nuker itself. You need to shoot its weak point early so the blast hits the zombies around it. When the explosion catches a crowd, the extra kills count toward the trophy. This is why the trophy saves ammo and feels so useful during normal gameplay.
Try to wait until other zombies gather around the target. Then fire at the glowing weak spot instead of panicking and shooting at random. The tighter the group is, the more progress you get from one blast.

Do Not Shoot the Wrong Part
There is one detail that matters a lot here. If you shoot the fireball, it explodes right away. If you shoot the zombie’s body instead, the fireball drops to the ground and rolls around, which lets you shoot it a moment later. Both can work, but hitting the weak point first is the cleaner option when enemies are packed together.
Difficulty and Farming Tips
On higher difficulties, the weak point may take a few more shots before it explodes. On normal difficulty, it usually takes only one or two shots, so farming progress is easier there. Listen for the scream these enemies make when they rush in. That sound is a good warning that another easy explosion is about to happen.

Keep using Nuker explosions whenever they appear, and treat every mission as extra progress toward the 300-kill total. The trophy usually comes naturally once you start targeting these enemies the right way.
