Here's a simple guide on how to use the new island generator.

Creating original maps for sandbox mode in Jurassic World Evolution is made possible by the Island Generator. You may access all of the maps, including returning square ones, by selecting Sandbox Mode from the main menu.

Island Generator

Creating custom islands is done via the Island Generator box. It can be selected to open a settings menu where you can change settings such as the environment, weather frequency, and time of day.

Before feeding the generator, for instance, you can choose between frequent storms and daylight lights. After the settings are selected, the generator loads into the park interface without issue and is ready for operation.

Each generated island comes with a unique Island DNA Code, displayed on-screen. This code can be copied, shared, or entered manually to revisit or share specific island designs. PC players can press M to enter or paste codes, while console players have equivalent button prompts.

Viewing islands is simple; switching the camera mode through G or the respective console button allows full exploration of the landscape. If an island doesn't meet expectations, selecting Next Island instantly generates a new one, offering endless variations in terrain and shape.

The generator also includes several movable components that alter the island's structure and appearance. The Shape Slider affects the island's perceived size; however, it may appear that the controls are inverted: a larger number makes the island appear smaller, and vice versa.

Density and Appearance

Changes to Tree Density are also quite simple. Most vegetation is removed when the slider is moved down; as it is moved up, dense forest areas, usually found close to water sources, are filled into the island. By placing the slider in the center, you can maintain a balanced appearance without cramming the island with trees.

Inland water bodies are affected by the water setting, although the nearby ocean is unaffected. Although future updates could allow for more sophisticated terrain shaping and realistic river forms, adding additional water results in small ponds rather than rivers.

Mountains can also be set to 0 or to the maximum. While higher mountain levels give the island a more craggy and natural appearance, lower mountain levels offer flatter terrain that is perfect for building. A park's architectural possibilities may be limited if there are too many mountains, as they may reduce the amount of buildable space.

Once all settings have been finalized, choosing Confirm and Start puts the island straight into playable mode so that it can be built. Construction tools are instantly available thanks to seamless, instantaneous changeover.

Large-scale planning could be challenging

One obvious drawback, though, is that you can't zoom out far enough to see the entire island at once. Because the buildable borders are not clearly visible on the main map and are only seen when adding items, large-scale planning may be difficult.

Furthermore, it is currently unable to exceed the predetermined bounds; however, many gamers expect this function to be implemented in the future.

An island plan can be easily modified if it turns out to be insufficient, for example, due to an excessive number of mountains or a lack of open space.

New Island Customization

To create a new island, the player must return to the customization screen after choosing Return to Island Generator from the settings menu. There is no end to the innovation and exploration that may be achieved by repeating this method indefinitely.

All things considered, the Island Generator is an effective and intuitive tool that greatly increases Jurassic World Evolution's replay value. It enables the creation of distinctive, individual islands that fit any architectural style, whether realistic, imaginative, or challenging.

The generator already offers an exciting basis for countless park-building options; however, there is still room for improvement, such as enhanced terrain editing and greater boundary flexibility.
