Here's a guide on how to farm Chromite in Palworld.

This guide will show you the best way to get a lot of Chromite so that you can meet all of your Hexite needs.

Instead of using Metal Detectors, this method focuses on using a specialized Pal companion to make your mining as efficient as possible in three of the best agricultural spots in Palworld.

Initial Setup and Preparation

To start your Chromite farming, catch a Pal named Smokie. Go to the top part of the red area on your map. Stay away from the southern and central parts of this red zone because they have fewer Smokie spawns. Instead, concentrate on the upper part.

If you can go to the Emberstone Plateau, it's a great place to start. When you get to the red region, start catching as many Smokie Pals as you can in Palworld.

The smoke emanating from their bodies makes it easy to distinguish these little critters from one another.

You need to catch about 116 Smokie Pals. This exact number is essential since their partner talent, Dig Dog Dig, makes it much easier to find Chromite while mining.

Your Chromite mining gets better the more you level up this talent. When you mine with your Smokie Pal, this skill increases your Chromite production by approximately 200–300% at its highest level.

You can breed the male and female Smokie Pals you catch to obtain the desired amount more quickly. Choose your favorite Smokie and focus on getting the Dig Dog Dig talent to level five. This skill only works when you're mining with your Smokie friend, not when you're fighting in Palworld.

First Farming Location

Go to the southern quick travel point located near the Loess Plains. From here, follow the river north until you see unique archways that mark the entrance to a cave system.

There are no hostile adversaries in this cave; thus, it would be a good place to set up a small base. Follow the one passage that goes straight to the end room to get through the cave.

Consider placing a Pal Box here to make respawning easier. When you go to the main room, use your Smokie friend and press the button to turn on the Dig Dog Dig ability.

This ability shows you all the hidden Chromite nodes in the room, which usually means you can see four mining nodes that you can harvest right away in Palworld.

Second Farming Location

Go to the Hidden Passage fast travel point in the Kitsun Noct location.

If you can't find this fast travel spot, go back to the last place you were and follow the river system around until you see the Hidden Passage marker on your map.

Go west from the Hidden Passage up the hill. Keep going this way until you get to a level region with another series of archways. This entrance is on the edge of a cliff and leads to a room where you can fight a boss.

You need to beat the Kitsun Noct boss before you can get to the Chromite nodes in Palworld. Once you've taken care of this menace and picked up any loot that was lying about, go to the middle of the room and set up your Smokie friend.

The Dig Dog Dig ability will show you four more Chromite nodes that you can harvest.

Third Farming Location

The Shield Dragon Tunnel is where you want to go. Like the last farming place, this one has a boss fight followed by harvesting Chromite nodes.

You can easily find the entrance to the tunnel due to its distinctive archways. Find your way through the tunnel system until you reach the boss in Palworld.

To secure the region, you must first defeat this enemy. Then, place your Smokie friend in the main chamber and turn on Dig Dog Dig to find the last set of Chromite nodes.

Important Notes

This method only works if you do hand mining in Palworld.

The Smokie Pal can only help you if you are actively mining.

You can farm each of these three places once a day, so organize your farming schedule to maximize the Chromite yield from each location in Palworld.
