Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Guide | How to Evolve Primeape into Annihilape Fast

Unlock Annihilape by learning Rage Fist, using it 20 times, then leveling up once.

If you want Annihilape quickly, the path is simple and can be completed in a single short grind. You just need a Primeape, the move Rage Fist, and a fast way to rack up 20 uses of that move. Once the counter is done, one more level-up triggers the evolution.

Step 1: Get Primeape

Start by getting Primeape. This evolution method only works from Primeape, so make sure you are not trying to do the steps on Mankey.

Step 2: Learn Rage Fist

Next, you need to have Primeape learn Rage Fist. Keep leveling Primeape until it learns the move. The guide notes this happens around level 35. Once Rage Fist is learned, keep it in your moveset.

Step 3: Use Rage Fist 20 Times

After Rage Fist is learned, you must use it 20 times in battle. Go fight wild Pokémon and use Rage Fist repeatedly. A fast trick is to fight Pokémon around a similar level and pick targets where Rage Fist is “not very effective.” That way, battles last longer, and you can use Rage Fist multiple times in the same fight, which speeds up the 20-use requirement.

Step 4: Level Up Once To Evolve

Once you have used Rage Fist 20 times, level Primeape up one more time. After that level-up, the evolution triggers, and you get Annihilape.

Quick Time Estimate

This method is shown to take roughly 14 minutes of fighting when using the “not very effective” approach to get multiple Rage Fist uses per battle.
