In RuneScape: Dragonwilds, Iron Ore is a significant progression material, and there are a lot of Iron Ore Nodes in the Stormtouched Highlands. The cliffside route can supply enough iron ore for several smelting and crafting projects, and a bronze pickaxe or better is needed.
Prepare a Bronze Pickaxe
You need at least a Bronze Pickaxe to start the run. Rocksplosion can also speed up mining considerably because it can instantly break suitable nearby ore deposits when you have the required Pickaxe in your inventory.

Travel into the Stormtouched Highlands and look for the narrow gorge where two cliff faces meet.
Follow the Dragon Bones
Mine the Iron Ore Nodes near the starting cliff, then follow the large Dragon bones farther into the area. Several additional deposits are positioned along this route.
When you reach the end of the bones, turn left toward the outer edge to find another group of Iron Ore Nodes. Be prepared for enemies while moving through this section.

Clear the Cliffside Deposits
Backtrack toward the original route and continue following the cliff walls. Iron Ore Nodes are scattered along both sides and around the edges of the high ground.
If the first route is not enough, continue toward the lower end of the Stormtouched Highlands. Search around the outskirts and higher ledges for additional groups of deposits.
Keep moving while mining to avoid being exposed for too long because lightning strikes and rams are frequent hazards in this area.
Finish the Run Inside the Cave
Near the lower farming area is a small cave containing additional Iron Ore and other resources. Bring a Torch because the interior is extremely dark.
Watch for poisonous exploding enemies inside. The cave is small and straightforward, so clear the deposits along its walls before leaving. A complete run through the two main areas can provide roughly 200 or more Iron Ore when the deposits are available.
Following the Stormtouched Highlands cliff route and finishing inside the nearby cave provides a fast way to stockpile large amounts of Iron Ore.
