To succeed in Saros, you must master your resources and gear. This guide explains how to handle the many systems you will encounter during your journey.

Projectiles and Visual Settings

You need to watch the colors of the things flying at you. Blue Projectiles are helpful because you can dash through them or pull them into your Shield to get energy. Yellow Projectiles are risky. They give you Corruption, which lowers your total health.

Red Projectiles are the most dangerous. You cannot dash through them, and they will steal your power. If these colors are hard for you to see, go to the settings and pick new ones. Do this early so you do not get confused later.

Using Protection Modifiers

The settings menu has a spot for Protection Modifiers. You can turn on a toggle that lets you use as many as you want in Saros.

These make the game much easier. Some give you more damage against Hostiles. Others help your Integrity so you take less damage. A great choice is Nova Dash, which lets you move through those scary Red Projectiles.

If you like your current gun, use Weapon Symmetry to find more like it. If you want a better shot at a boss, Overlord Restoration heals you to full health right before the big fight.

The Armor Matrix

You get stronger over time using the Armor Matrix. Talk to Primary to spend your Lucinite and Halcyon. Lucinite is the yellow stuff that falls off enemies. It goes away fast, so pick it up immediately. Halcyon is rare and usually stays hidden in secret spots.

Put your points into Drive first. This makes enemies drop more Lucinite. Having more of this also boosts your Proficiency Level. This makes the weapons you find stronger and gives them extra tricks.

Planning Your Run

Decide why you are starting a run. If you want to get resources for the Armor Matrix, focus on Drive. If you want to kill a boss, focus on Integrity and Power in Saros.

Even if you have the key to a boss, it is smart to clear the whole map. This lets you open more boxes and find more Artifacts. Do not skip parts of the map if you want to be as strong as possible for the end.

Gear and Travel

Avoid going back to the Passage hub. If you go back, your Proficiency Level and stats reset. If you just keep moving to the next area, you stay powerful and find better loot. When you look at a gun, check the icons.

Some have Auto Hit Disabled. This means you have to aim every shot yourself. This is very hard when you are trying to dodge many enemies at once. Only pick these up if you are very good at aiming while moving.

New Tools and Old Areas

As you play, you will find things like a Grappling Hook or a better Melee hit. Once you have these, go back to the first levels. You can now reach places you couldn't get into before. These spots have hidden items and more boxes to open.

This is one of the best ways to get extra power. Exploring old biomes with your new tools helps you find everything you missed the first time in Saros.
