Here's a guide to all character skills in Screamer.

In Screamer, every racer has a specific Skill that changes how you drive and manage your meters. While the game gives you a brief description, many of these abilities have hidden depth. Understanding how to use these can be the difference between losing a lead and finishing in first place.

The Green Reapers Team
This is the starting team, and their skills focus on the relationship between Sync and performance. Keiji Sato uses Emotional Manipulation, which makes his car faster and improves braking during Overdrive if his Sync meter is high. Noboru Sato has Former Glory, allowing him to generate Entropy while in SGU or by using Active Shifting. Akemi Nomura features Something To Prove, which lets her freeze the Overdrive timer and get a free Shield whenever she scores a KO, meaning you can stay in Overdrive much longer if you stay aggressive.
The International Stars
These drivers come with more complex boosting and combat mechanics. Frederic Barthelemy uses Reaper’s Dance to power up his Strike for more Sync on a KO, though hitting the track wall causes him to explode. Hiroshi Jackson has Unstable Boost, which gives you a second prompt to extend your speed burst after the first one ends. Roisin Garrity uses One More Freckle to make her Strike cheaper so she can use it repeatedly.

High-Risk Racers
Some characters offer powerful rewards if you can manage their unique drawbacks. Hope Kaminsky uses Interest Rate to generate more Sync the more she already has, and she keeps her meter even after an explosion. Gabriel Mertens has Ruthless Heir, which refills both Sync and Entropy after a successful Strike. Dirk Van Wyk uses Blood Thirst to trigger a second, faster Strike immediately after he knocks out an opponent.
The Technical Drivers
These racers require precise timing or resource management. Lavinia Ricci Antinori has Hyperactive Boost, which makes her Perfect Boost much stronger, but the Yellow Triangle moves to a different spot every time. Aisha Waghmare uses the JSI Defense System to get an automatic Shield the first time she is hit or explodes. Gregor Falkenstein uses Echo Evolution, allowing him to spend Sync to permanently upgrade his Boost, Strike, and Overdrive up to two times per race.
Strike Force Romanda
This team uses a special Hype meter that triggers different bonuses at 100%. Hina Yamano gains Hype by Drifting to get a cheaper Strike. Ritsuko Imai gains it by changing positions in the pack to get Sync over time. Akane Hyuga builds Hype passively or through Active Shifting to earn a free Enhanced Boost.

The Tournament Crew
These three characters unlock after you finish the main story and have the most unusual mechanics. Fermi has Herding Instinct, which removes Overdrive entirely but makes her Boost and Strike last much longer. Mr. A uses Proto-Echo, replacing Sync with a Heat meter. You build Heat by boosting or shielding, but if it hits Max Heat, you explode instantly; you must use Overdrive to reset it. Finally, The Announcer uses Style Empress, where a letter-grade system tracks your performance. High Style increases Sync generation, but hitting walls or getting KOed will drop your grade.
