Silent Hill: Townfall Guide | How to get the Dog Ending

The Labrador Retriever Ending, also called the Dog Ending, is one of the secret endings in Silent Hill: Townfall. It is only available in New Game+ and requires you to find three special coins and place them into three Guide Dog donation banks.

How to Get the Labrador Retriever Ending

Find the Bronze Coin

During Part 1: Arrival, travel to the Video Star store in the Shorefront District.

Enter the store and go into the back room. The Bronze Coin is sitting on a shelf.

Take the coin and return to Main Street. Before reaching the Pharmacy, look for the Guide Dog donation bank.

Interact with it and place the Bronze Coin inside.

Find the Silver Coin

You find the second coin in Part 4: Clara Woods.

At the start of the area, follow the street and turn right instead of heading straight to Clara Woods Estate. Continue to the backyard and enter the shed.

The Silver Coin is on a shelf inside.

You cannot use it immediately. Progress through Clara Woods Estate until you obtain the Bolt Cutters. Use them to open the gate behind the Post Office and enter the Laundry building through its Fire Exit.

The second Guide Dog bank is inside. Place the Silver Coin into it.

Find the Gold Coin

During Part 6: Simon, progress through SWDP – Different until you gain access to the facility's door controls.

Make sure you unlock Door 793. Enter the room and look for the Gold Coin sitting on a console.

Continue through the area until you reach the red-lit hallway near the end of the section. Follow it to the end to find the third Guide Dog bank.

Place the Gold Coin inside.

Trigger the Dog Ending

After depositing all three coins, continue through the game normally.

Defeat the final boss, then proceed to the final sequence. Because you've completed all three Guide Dog donations, the Labrador Retriever/Dog Ending replaces the normal ending scene.

Final Thoughts

The Labrador Retriever Ending requires some planning because the three coins are spread across Parts 1, 4, and 6. Make sure you collect and deposit the Bronze Coin, Silver Coin, and Gold Coin during the same New Game+ run.
