Help Tomasz revive the theatre and bring drama to the Lighthouse.

Game Guide by Ornstein on  Sep 04, 2025

The Lighthouse of Bookstonbury is a mysterious and atmospheric location, perched on the cliffs and overlooking the sea. In Tiny Bookshop, it becomes the stage for one of the most dramatic series of challenges, centered on Tomasz and his dream of reviving the theatre.

From selling drama books to producing a play, the Lighthouse tests your ability to balance sales, décor, and funding. Ultimately, these efforts culminate in the performance of Julius Caesar, making this one of the most memorable story arcs in the game.

To the Lighthouse

The Lighthouse becomes accessible after you interact with the telescope at the Waterfront once it has been repaired. Visiting for the first time unlocks the location and marks the beginning of your theatrical journey. From this point forward, you can begin receiving challenges tied to Tomasz and the Lighthouse community.

Am I the Drama?

Your first major challenge at the Lighthouse comes from Tomasz, who asks you to sell fifteen Drama books here. Stock your shelves heavily with Drama titles before setting up shop, as they are the only way to complete the task. Once you meet the quota, Tomasz acknowledges your flair for storytelling and sets the stage for more ambitious undertakings.

Building on your success, Tomasz challenges you to recommend three plays at the Lighthouse. While plays usually fall under the Classics genre, they can also appear in other categories. Pay close attention to your stock and don't overlook hidden gems. Completing this challenge inspires a renewed love for theatre in the local community, leading children to form a new acting troupe.

The Cost of Greatness

The Lighthouse story escalates when Tomasz decides to stage a production of Julius Caesar. To do this, he needs your financial backing for three key necessities:

Stage Lights (Off-brand: 35 coins, or Quality: 60 coins)

Set Pieces (Simplistic: 49 coins, or High Quality: 99 coins)

Audience Chairs (Foldable: 60 coins, or Comfortable: 135 coins)

Based on your budget, you can pick between versions that cost more and versions that cost less. It's essential to remember that you can return an item later when you have saved enough money. Tomasz often says "tomorrow," but when he means this, it means the next time you go to the Lighthouse. You can move forward at your own pace without worrying about meeting goals.

The Performance of a Lifetime

Once the play is funded, Tomasz gives you a Ticket Machine, which you must equip in your shop to begin selling theatre tickets. The more Drama books you sell, the more tickets you generate. Unlike other location-specific challenges, this task can be completed at any location as long as the Ticket Machine is equipped.

Once you have sold fifty tickets, return to the Lighthouse to finalize the challenge. The result is a sold-out premiere of Julius Caesar, scheduled for the following Friday, marking a triumphant moment in the story.

Tips for Success

Always keep Drama and Classic books in stock when working at the Lighthouse, as they are central to most challenges here.

Be strategic with your spending during The Cost of Greatness. While higher-quality items may feel more rewarding, cheaper ones still allow for progress.

Equip the Ticket Machine even after completing the challenge to generate extra revenue from ticket sales alongside your books.

Remember that Tomasz's timeline references, such as "tomorrow," are flexible. Take time to save coins if needed.
