Tower of Fantasy is an open-world, gacha MMORPG that captivates players with its vibrant, anime-inspired visuals and dynamic combat. This list highlights what I deem to be the ten most stunning character designs in the game, showcasing a mix of creativity, detail, and uniqueness that make each character stand out in their own right.
10. The Crow
Crow, as the name suggests, wears all black, but most notable in his look is the compression shirt. It is always the compression shirt. Aside from that, one’s attention is directly drawn to his white hair and striking yellow eyes. His smirk ties the look together and gives off the vibe that he is a spunky character.
9. Ming Jing
Ming Jing makes quite an impression on the battlefield, donning a black, form-fitting outfit adorned with a vibrant red sash. He is a deadly display, with his massive blade slicing through the air while his white hair whirls around him.
8. Icarus
His elegant and soft features make him look like a young prince. Ice Prince - to be precise, straight out of some beautiful novel.
7. Cobalt-B
I am a really big fan of character designs matching their names. Of course, what is best about this design is Cobalt-B’s Cobalt Blue hair. Accessorizing her with yellow glasses made her look all the more fun.
6. Ling Han
I cannot help but think of the Adepti from Genshin Impact, particularly Xianyun, and Xiao when I look at Ling Han. Personal biases may have played a role in me placing her here because of that. However, on her own, she is a beautiful, traditionally dressed woman who knows turquoise has it going for her.
5. Nan Yin
A dark color scheme with soft and elegant features is such an interesting combo. It always works well and makes me want to know more. She looks mysterious as if you do not know if her touch will be gentle or poisonous. I also love the traditional aspects of her design, especially because she uses a bamboo stick.
4. Nemesis
Nemesis’s cybernetic enhancements result from her failure in a science experiment. Her design clearly shows a depressing past that seeps into her appearance, which I really favor.
3. Claudia
Claudia is a mixed bag of aesthetics, but they all fit together so well. At first glance, she appears to be an officer of sorts, but then you catch a glimpse of her mismatched tights, then the one red streak in her fully white hair, and, most obviously, the fact that she carries a glowing yellow katana. With a design like that, of course, it falls into my top three.
2. Zero
A classic steampunk look. I found Zero’s aesthetic to be very different from the others, and I grew an appreciation for him. Plus, giving him purple eyes was the creators' best decision when designing his character.
1. Umi
Ah, yes, the only character with a different skin tone. Though it played a part in me putting Umi as number one, I assure you that it is not out of pettiness. Her monochrome palette harmonizing with violets and Alice in Wonderland-esque rabbit symbolism all contribute to this easy win.
These top 10 designs highlight the incredible artistry behind Tower of Fantasy, showing that the developers truly understand how to captivate with visuals. In this game, character design isn’t just an added bonus—it’s an essential element that elevates the entire MMORPG experience.
