E3 Comes With Extra Details Regarding Tyranny
Tyranny wants us to be evil.

After the success that was Pillars of Eternity Obsidian Entertainment are working on a new cRPG called Tyranny. At the PC Gaming Show's post-show at E3, a couple of new details have surfaced. For once, the choices that will be provided to us will range from "black to a lighter shade of grey", to quote the official that spoke. Not the most surprising bit of news given as it's known that you will be playing a thrall of an evil overlord, but it may prove to be a nice change of pace from the Good/Evil approach of other games.
The choices made will shape how regions will look or how certain events will play out and this extends (or rather begins) with the very creation of your character. One would assume that based on your character's history you will have chosen to handle different events in different ways, so there's grounds for replayability there. Another interesting feature that was mentioned was that of companion combos. Apparently, with the right mix of companions you can have them pull off comobs while in combat. The example given was of one character casting an energy attack at the ground which propelled a ranged character into the air, allowing the latter to rain arrows upon foes from an elevated position. Tyranny is set to release later this year.
