Wii U production has officially ended as Nintendo shifts focus to their latest system Nintendo Switch.
A Nintendo representative told IGN:
“Wii U production has ended globally.”
Nintendo confirmed previously that the Wii U sold over 13.5 million units as of December 31, 2016. In addition, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be the final first-party Wii U game to come from Nintendo.
