Assassin's Creed Ezio Trilogy Exclusive to PS3

It was announced today on PlayStation.Blog that a triad of Assassin's Creed games will be released. Assassin's Creed Ezio Trilogy will be released exclusively to the PlayStation 3 and include Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin's Creed Revelations.

As announced the trilogy includes three games with Assassin's Creed II containing all downloadable content. No word yet on whether or not AC Brotherhood or AC Revelations will include any DLC.

It sparked my interest but...the dreaded exclusive.

Those familiar with the series will know that the character Ezio first appeared in Assassin's Creed II. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood takes place after Assassin's Creed II, continuing to follow the games protagonist, Ezio. Furthermore, Assassin's Creed Revelations also follows the path of Ezio during his journey.

Most gamers would read the above as obvious. However, PlayStation wants to make sure that gamers who haven't played the entire series have their background information correct about Ezio after playing Assassin's Creed III. As posted on PlayStation.Blog, "Where do you think Connor, our newest hero, learned all of his moves?" The trilogy's release probably won't hurt the sales of the new PS3 slim either.

Assassin's Creed Ezio Trilogy releases on November 13th for $39.99.
