Atlus to Develop Games for Next-Gen Consoles

Atlus is known for making occult-themed role-playing games such as Persona 3, Persona 4, and Devil Summoner 2 for the Playstation 2, Devil Survivor for the Nintendo DS, and the Persona remake for the Playstation Portable. While these games met positive reviews and feedback from fans, Atlus isn’t really well known for developing games for the next-gen consoles.

 

That is, until recently, when Atlus Co. has just posted a job listing. The links provided are all in Japanese, but the translations confirm that the development company is looking for a programmer who is qualified to work on a Playstation 3 / Xbox 360 game, and has previously worked on a role-playing game for these two consoles.

 

Rumors of Persona 5 began to circulate months ago, and it looks like this is Atlus’ first step in developing the game for the next-generation. Only time will tell.
