Publisher Square Enix and developer Bulwark Interactive have announced that multiplayer WW2 shooter Battalion 1944 is leaving Steam Early Access in less than two weeks. The full launch is scheduled for May 23rd, just over a year following its Early Access debut.

Battalion 1944's full launch will bring with the the game's Eastern Front update, which includes a large amount of changes and additions, alongside a new faction: the Russian Army. The Russians come with their own set of weapons, such as the PPSh-41 Drum Magazine, SVT-40, Fedorov Avtomat, Mosin Nagant and more.
Three new maps will be introduced, as will the 1v1 Showdown and Free for all gameplay modes. Players can also look to improved character visibility, UI and audio overhauls, but also different types of challenges that reward cosmetic gear. You can read about the changes in detail in Battalion 1944's full launch announcement post.
