Buy Gears of War 4, Play Anywhere

Gears of War 4 will be the first Xbox Play Anywhere game, playable across Xbox One and Windows 10.

Gears of War 4 won't only start a brand-new journey but vanguard Microsoft's Xbox Play Anywhere feature. Basically if you purchase the game digitally you can play on both Xbox One and Windows 10. This means that all progression and achievements are shared between the two, even allowing for cross-play in competitive multiplayer, Horde mode, and cooperative modes.

In Microsoft's journey to link together Xbox One and Windows 10 this is a massive step, maybe Halo is next.

Gears of War 4 will launch for Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 11. An Elite Xbox One Gears of War 4 Special Edition controller is now available for pre-order.
