It's been 10 years since the release of Devil May Cry 4 and since then fans have been asking Capcom about a sequel. Devil May Cry V launches this week and review copies are in the wind, which means that spoilers will likely make it to the internet. But director Hideaki Itsuno has asked fans to not spoil the game.

On Twitter, the director politely asks fans to avoid posting any spoiler related material.

Do not write or watch the spoilers anymore because we have been making for many years to make everyone's first play the best.

The request is reasonable but you can guarantee that some will ignore this. Unlike Square Enix with Kingdom Hearts 3, there's no supposed patch to avoid the ending from being posted. Of course, I'm sure Capcom has contacted widely used sites such as YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter to watch for any search history that could lead to spoilers but nothing is perfect.

Our take is to avoid putting in anything relating to "Capcom" or "Devil May Cry" into any search engines.

Devil May Cry V launches this March 8th for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Check out our list of the best DMC games here and what you need to know about DMC V here.
