Far Cry 6 Officially Confirmed Along With $200 Special Edition

Today, Ubisoft officially revealed Far Cry 6 after it was leaked last week. With the title focusing on players taking on the dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo.

Players will control Dani Rojas, a local in his country fighting against the dictator Anton Castillo and his son Diego. The city has been torn apart and players will venture throughout the city of Esperanza along with the surrounding areas to defeat Anton. With this title featuring the biggest map in the Far Cry franchise.

There will be a $199.99 special edition along with 3 other editions called the Ultimate, Gold, and Standard. The Ultimate will provide everything in the previous editions along with the Ultimate Edition of the game, Collector's Case, Artbook, 10 stickers, Steelbook, soundtrack, map, keyring, "How to Assemble instructions", and a replica flamethrower from the game.

The screenshots below feature the open world. Including secondary characters, the flamethrower weapon, and what appears to be a horse ally. Personally I loved the screenshot of night combat.

Far Cry 6 will release on February 18, 2021, on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and PC.
