Gearbox talks about the multiplayer mode in Duke Nukem Forever

Much has been mentioned, advertised and promised when it comes to Duke Nukem Forever - a title that almost turned into one of the biggest urban legends in the history of gaming. However it still remains almost entirely in the shadow: the multiplayer modes, which should be able to bring the unique style of "Duke" for a more social gameplay.
Ok, no problems here. According to the Gearbox's boss, Randy Pitchford, the multiplayer mode of DNF is in good hands. The big drawback is that the developer has yet to imagine an appropriate way to show the potential to the public. "Multitiplayer is something in which to 'get on', we need to come up with a way to make people feel, as multiplayer is something that needs to be played, " said Pitchford to Eurogamer.
It is worth remembering that the multiplayer mode of Duke Nukem Forever is currently produced by Piranha, a not exactly renowned Canadian developer - although among its credits, is included PSP versions of Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 and Need for Speed: Undercover, and Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza and Mech Warrior, both for PC.

Ok, so no information yet. However, Pitchford ensures that discovering DNF's multiplayer will be a real treat for fans. "Do not worry about it, we remember why we did play Duke, and some of them involved massacring opponents and turn into ice cubes, and so on.
Finally, it is expected that DNF is even capable of doing justice to the Duke Nukem's legacy, and it is also expected that the multiplayer mode, in turn, do justice to Forever's campaign mode. Duke Nukem Forever should make an appearance on June 5...
