Gears of War 4's Horde Mode Can Access DLC Maps if the Host Owns Them

Only the host needs to have download any Gears of War 4 DLC for everyone to play, at least in Horde Mode. 

Rod Fergusson confirmed the feature when talking to the people at Shacknews. Once Gears of War 4's DLC launches any player who doesn't own the content can join another player who does. This is to help prevent a division within the community while encouraging players to purchase the packs.

Horde Mode will be available on every multiplayer map in Gears of War 4.

Gears of War 4 will launch on Xbox One and Windows 10 on October 11. Those who purchase the game digitally will gain access to the Windows 10 version for free, with progress and achievements shared between both platforms.
