Gears of War 5 New Promotional Image Features Queen Myrrah

Queen Myrrah was the primary antagonist of the original Gears of War trilogy and died in the third game. But it seems that the Locust leader will be making a return in Gears of War 5.

The new promotional image showcasing Gears of War 5 has multiple characters on it. With protagonist Kat, J.D., and Marcus Fenix all present on the image. However, Queen Myrrah is also shown which could mean she'll make a return likely as a flashback since she's dead. Or maybe she's back as a Swarm.

Many theories have been sprouting up since the release of Gears of War 4. With the ending featuring Kat gripping a Locust medallion similar to the one owned by Queen Myrrah saying it belonged to her grandmother. Linking Kat's family to Queen Myrrah and why the Swarm wants her as part of their army.

Gears of War 5 is now in development for Windows 10 and Xbox One.
