The first game from developer Gone North Games, A Story About My Uncle, is being published by the creators of Goat Simulator, Coffee Stain Studios. Beginning as a university project, the demo has been available since 2012, and A Story About My Uncle was nominated for Game of the Year in the Swedish Game Awards the same year.
"A non-violent First-Person platform adventure game," A Story About My Uncle is told as a bedtime story from a father to his daughter. The story follows a boy searching for his uncle, ending up in a world he could never have dreamed of. Embodying a unique art style and a magical story line, A Story About My Uncle sees players using a grappling hook to speedily swing through caverns - "a crucial part of it's [sic] core gameplay."
In a May 12 press release, Coffee Stain Studios revealed the release date for A Story About My Uncle and its official gameplay trailer. Available on Steam on May 28, A Story About My Uncle is a game you're going to want to check out, like now.
