Harmonix $15 Million Investment and New Project Revealed

Rock Band 4 is almost here and Harmonix is already looking toward the future, with the company releasing details about a $15 million equity funding, that was revealed back in September, today and another new project.

The funding, which comes in the form of an equity investment, is being led by venture capital firms Foundry Group. This same company has their hands in Oculus, Tumblr, and Upworthy. 

The development team at Harmonix is currently developing a game for the Oculus Rift. The company already a VR project in development for Gear VR and PlayStation VR called Harmonix Music VR. The company plans to return to crowdfunding this fall, before the release of its first Kickstarter project Amplitude. 

Rock Band 4 is set to release on October 6 for Xbox One and PS4.
