Killzone 2 To Get DLC
News by Craig Bryan on Apr 10, 2009
It has just been announced that Guerrilla Games and Sony Computer Entertainment’s hit game Killzone 2 will be receiving a new map pack. This will be the first set of downloadable content for Killzone 2, which was released back in February. Managing Director of Guerrilla Games, Herman Hulst, spoke on a recent episode of Gametrailers about how their designers were planning the first map pack which is said to be called Steel and Titanium.
Steel and Titanium will be two maps, both in which are set on two colossal sets of vehicles. One of these vehicles will be the ISA tech cruiser New Sun. This map will have many decks which you can use to battle the other players around you. The second map will be two Helghast trains moving side-by-side. These twin trains will be host to a battlefield where players will jump from train to train in order to fight the opposing players. Watch out though. The environment will play a big role in how you will jump to the other train. There will be objects that if you accidentally collide with, will cause you to fall to your death.
Hulst said that these maps were designed because they were favorites of the fans. It was also stated that there will be “more to come.” It is likely that future plans will include retro maps of Killzone 1. No release date is for sure yet but it is scheduled to be out by the end of April. Keep an eye out on the Playstation Store for Steel and Titanium.
