Mafia Twitter Account Teases Something New
A new tweet from Mafia's official Twitter account hints at new project reveal

Spring and summer are big months for game reveals and recently the official Mafia Twitter account tweeted a single word that has many excited.

The word is "Family" and could hint at the possible rerelease of Mafia 2 and 3 as the games were leaked by the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee in April 2020 with a PS4, PC, and Xbox One release. In addition, back in February 2K and Take-Two stated that Hanger 13 and 31st Union Studio would have an announcement about a now in development project in the coming months.
The last game from the series was developed by Hanger 13 and wasn't well-received critically. Mafia 3 was complimented for its strong characters and presentation but criticized for repetitive mission structure, gameplay loop, and technical issues. It sold well, shipping 5 million copies but since 2016 the series has gone dark.
