Massive Rainbow Six Siege Update in Development, Overalls Recoil System
Ubisoft overhauling the recoil system in Rainbow Six Siege
News by Adam Siddiqui on Sep 21, 2017
Ubisoft isn't done updating Rainbow Six Siege with a massive overhaul to the game's recoil system coming. An action that will remedy a lot of the issues that have plagued the team-based tactical shooter since its launch.

After the release of Operation Health, Ubisoft found a large problem with the game's weapon recoil system. This sometimes led to gamers firing shots that would contradict where their reticle was being aimed. The issue required a rework recoil for the entire game called the Multi-Stage Recoil that uses randomized structure involving game-generated diamond shapes and random points of being aimed.
Ubisoft has placed weapons into families instead of giving them their own unique recoil for each gun giving gamers less need to master each weapon. The weapons have been grouped into 6 categories.
AUG A2, Type-89, F2, C7E, AR33, G36C, L85A2, 556xi, PARA-308
552 commando, AK-12, C8SFW, 416-C, R4C
G8A1, M249, 6P41, T-95 LSW, PDW9, P90, Scorpion EVO 3 A1
MP5k, MP5, FMG-9, T-5, MP5SD, MPX, 9x19VSN, MP7
MK17 CQB
SMG-11, Bearing 9, Vector .45 ACP
Some SMGs, DMRs, and Shotguns have been excluded from the list until Ubisoft has finished working on them.
The update is now available on the game's test servers and a date hasn't been announced for its release.
Rainbow Six Siege is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
