Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection Confirmed

The entire Metal Gear Solid franchise on one Disc.

Rumors of a new Metal Gear Solid game has be revealed to be true. Konmai has confirmed the Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection that will be releasing in June as a PS3 exclusive. This isn't like Metal Gear Solid: HD collection, which included Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. This collection consist of the Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty HD Edition ( including the MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2), Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid VR Missions and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Trophy Edition. The collection will also include two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels.

Tomoyuki Tsuboi, president of Konami, said that “We wanted to give Metal Gear Solid fans the opportunity to experience the series from beginning to end, all on one console. With the collection’s multiple titles, players can truly see how Metal Gear Solid evolved into the critically acclaimed and beloved franchise it is today”. Anyone who wants to experience everything about Metal Gear Solid, outside certain portable titles, should pick up this collection.

Those hoping for more information about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will have to wait.
