Hey, Nintendo wanted me to work overtime, so they sent an insane amount of information for their holiday release. Well, I’m lazy, so I waited for them to give me all the news and now I’ll give it to you in one condensed swoop. There are loads, so hold on to your pointy hats!

First off, Link’s adventure is about to explode with wonder, as new screenshots and a trailer has been released for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword together with tons of info. You’ll find these buzz words; here are the cliff notes: Eldin Volcano and the Mogma, Digging Mitts and the Bomb Bag, Earth Temple, Harp, Lake Floria and the Parella Tribe, Fun Fun Island and a kicking whip. Oh, and Link can collect bugs. It’s like fairies but grosser. Look at the pictures to get the gist of it.

Pokémon Rumble Blast is ready to unload on American audiences and will get to Europe beginning December. It’s still all about collecting 600 Toy Pokémon, amongst which the newest Black/White generation. After intense boss fights and Battle Royale, the game also adds this feature: “In Team Battle, players are joined by two of their own Toy Pokémon as they battle mini bosses in a quest to defeat a Boss Pokémon. In Charge Battle, two large battalions of Pokémon collide in an event that challenges the strength of the player’s team.”  There are more pics and tricks here as well.

Mario Kart 7 is also ready to race on down to customers in December. Apart from having a ton of new content and using the SpotPass and StreetPass, like all 3DS games here, there’s a cute addition for this iteration. Racing will now be done by land, air or sea! Guess what? I have footage.

Lastly, Super Mario 3D Land is hitting in November; the first Mario title reinventing the traditional world in 3D. The Tanooki suit is coming back! Mario can perform a rolling somersault attack or run fast with a dash move and there are new enemies like Goombas with tails and an ink-spitting plant. More moving pictures are available!

Oh, let’s not forget there’s a system update for the 3Ds coming up at the end of November that will give access to a range of new features and enhancements. Here’s the gist: “These include 3D video capture, which will let users record up to 10 minutes of 3D video and enable people to create their own 3D stop-motion animation videos. The update will also add new puzzles to Puzzle Swap in StreetPass Mii Plaza and a new dungeon to StreetPass Quest. Other features will be announced in the future.”  It sounds like the Nintendo handheld is picking up this holiday.
