PAL Grand Knights History And King Of Fighters Inbound

It’s time for some European localization news again. Why, you ask? I live in Europia, so the people off the kingdom come bellowing at the keep doors with messages of games. It is in the same knightly fashion that the town crier is proud to announce that Rising Star Games (RSG) will be distributing a few choice games soon.

First off, remember when we talked about Grand Knights History, from VanillaWare? Well, it’s rejoicing time, because it’s also coming to the land of passed up games. While the game has only been set for a vague Q1 2012 window, it will be coming, both on UMD and a Playstation Store download. In this turn based RPG, players choose which faction they will fight for and develop squads of four individual characters to battle enemies. Here’s an excerpt about the customization: “Race, sex, appearance, job class, sub-class and weapon type are all alterable for every team member and online functionality allows players to test their knights against others without even requiring a constant internet connection.” Wait, you can freely change sex? I’m all for LGBTQ rights, but that seems strangely peculiar. Also, I wonder how this online mode without internet will work. We’ll shoot Mr. Hau at RSG a mail.

More great words came from RSG managing director Martin Defries, who said: ““Muramasa: The Demon Blade was a huge success story. Vanillaware represents everything good about Japanese games development.” The man of course meant Odin Sphere, because that game deserves to be lauded.

But that’s not all, because they’ll also be handling the King of Fighters XIII, which is strange because I also heard multiple other publishers handling it. In any case, this seems legit, since RSG announced the pre-order package. It will include a limited edition 4-CD soundtrack. This pre-order incentive is in addition to the contents of the retail box, which includes: game disc, double sided A3 poster (artwork on one side, move list on the reverse), digital art disc, reversible sleeves (design specific to format). And that seems to be a standard edition, not collector or anything, so kudos on that. KoF is coming this November.
