Movie Games and True Games Syndicate have announced their upcoming game Prison King, a new simulation/adventure game inspired by Thief and Shawshank Redemption. Prison King will be available on PC in 2023.

This first-person simulator puts you behind bars and challenges you to make it through your term. It was developed by the same people that created the Drug Dealer Simulator. Participate in the politics of the jail, strike bargains, search for information that might be valuable, discuss terms with the guards, and demonstrate your value to everyone who is watching.

Players must develop a reputation as trustworthy jail traders and encourage their other convicts to become reliant. They need to use their contacts to get illegal goods, then manage the stock and sell them to other inmates using the money made. Carve out their space and work their way to the top while assuring protection.

There is still one thing that prevents you from getting a good night's rest: you are innocent! You have to find a way to escape from this terrible place. How? Gather proof to support your claim that you are innocent. Or you might come up with a cunning plan to get away! It is up to you to decide what to do.

According to the developers True Games Syndicate and Flint Arts, the PC version of Prison King is scheduled to be released in 2023.
