Public Service Announcement: If you’re one of the many backers of Mega Man-inspired platform game, Mighty No. 9, to feel disappointed from its lofty Kickstarter start to now, try to muster up some final courage. In particular, don’t just toss aside any new news about the crowd-funded title, because there’s an email survey being sent out that requires some pretty immediate attention.

What’s self-consciously being called the “Final Round” survey, the mail will let you choose what version of the game backers will want to redeem. Patrons will need to input some basic data, such as full name, e-mail and country of residence, before choosing what platform to claim the long-awaited project from director Keiji Inafune.
Just in case you were planning on doing that “later,” as in, “never,” we urge you to reconsider. Go fill in that survey right now, as the sheet claims that those who don’t get it done shortly will let the company choose for them. The survey states:
Any backers who have not chosen their preferred platform by the deadline will be given a Steam key and a DRM-free PC download by default.

Seeing as Mighty No. 9 is headed to PC, Nintendo Wii U, 3DS, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 and PS Vita, it’s doubtful that every backer will just want to default to one specific platform. For region-locked items, like the 3DS, you’ll additionally be asked to choose your specific PAL or NTSC region, so be sure to double check that you are using the right one, since redeem codes may not work otherwise.
Of course, this wouldn’t be a true Mighty No. 9 news item if it didn’t come with some additional tidbits. For instance, this mail could be the second one some people are getting, as the first that came in was a dud. Additionally, backers may remember already filling in details in a previous survey. Well, this current survey will require everyone to do it again regardless.
More importantly, the survey doesn’t mention redeem dates and there’s some things to keep in mind there, regardless of the tendency of Mighty No. 9 to get delayed. Right now, release dates are set for June 21, 2016 for North America and June 24 elsewhere. That, however, does not include the Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita versions, who will release at a later date. Keep that in mind when choosing a platform.
Anyone still excited to finally give this game a good ol' try?
