Let’s not dillydally with backstories and whatnot for once and dive straight into it, shall we? We’re late as it is and we’d like you to share in the joy. With GDC, PAX East and more gaming events stomping through the industry, gaming season is officially opened and that means a fresh batch of release dates!

Movey, bouncy and all-round mind-hump Child of Eden finally came from mysterious visual wonder to a full-fledged release date. Ubisoft has announced to release the psychedelic rhythm shooter from the makers of Rez onto Xbox 360 on June 14. Still coined to be the sole savior of Kinect, the already cult title is finally ready to let gamers get their freak on. A PS3 version with Move support hasn’t been announced yet, but no one is focused on that anyway, it seems. Oh, and Ubisoft has also been so generous as to reveal a launch window for revamped sleeper-hit Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes on PSN and XBLA in ‘mid-April’. Yours truly is playing the DS version right now and even without the HD rebalanced gameplay, this odd one in the franchise bunch is feeling right.

Sorry, couldn't find a Chlld of Eden pic that wouldn't make you trip balls.

Moving on; Square Enix has also jumped on the popularity boat and announced one of its most highly anticipated releases this year, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The third installment of Warren Spector’s brainchild has come a long way since its firstborn and the new hit is coming down in stores on August 23 for America and the 26th for Europe, all on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. To celebrate this, in what is becoming more standard than special, an “Augmented Edition” will be available with a truckload of goodies for a mere additional tenner.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augmented Edition has more crap than your screen can handle

Available will be: “10,000 extra credits to buy or upgrade weapons, a Huntsman Silverback Double-Barrel Shotgun, the SERSR Longsword Whisperhead silenced sniper rifle, the Linebacker G-87 multiple shot grenade launcher, an Automatic Unlocking Device and the M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device (UR-DED). If that’s not enough, [it] also contains an exclusive bonus DVD featuring a 44 minute making of special, game soundtrack, motion-comic (adapted from DC’s official series) plus the E3 trailer and animated storyboard plus the edition will also contain a 40 page art book.” And that’s without mentioning an exclusive mission, also available in an “Explosive Mission Pack” pre-order bonus. Not too shabby, one would say.

Sadly, we won’t be able to finish this article with a good old Duke Nukem Forever release joke, as the May 3 release date was announced some time ago. Who’s laughing now, internet?
